Camp Rise and Shine

Tired of being cooped up for months? Come experience an exciting week of camping in God’s wonderful outdoors! The week will be filled with fun games and recreational activities, swimming, hiking and exploring, great food, engaging Bible stories, lessons, skits, crafts, singing, and much more!

In this year’s camp, we’ll experience the excitement of the Olympic Games as we “Go for the Gold!” The Bible verse behind our theme is Hebrews 12:1: “Therefore … let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…” This verse teaches us the need for perseverance and overcoming the distractions of the world around us.

Accommodations are limited, so register as soon as possible to reserve your place! The cost is $140.00 ($115.00 + $25.00 registration fee).

Camp Dates

• July 5–10 (Sunday–Friday) – Boys aged 7-16
• July 12–17 (Sunday–Friday) – Girls aged 7-16

Life is an adventure. As we journey the path of life we encounter things that may be challenging and some things that are fun. The Bible is full of stories of individuals who faced the same situations and challenges that we face in life as followers of Jesus Christ. These individuals lived life according to Scripture and conformed to the image of Christ through the power of God’s Holy Spirit. We can learn from the “Adventures” that they experienced. Our goal for camp this year is to learn to live the “adventure” as the children of God in Christ.

Our theme this year is “Heroes: Amazing Stories of Faith.” We will be looking at some of the “Heroes of Faith” mentioned in the great “Faith Hall of Fame” in Hebrews chapter 11. Our goal is to encourage, inspire and help deepen our camper’s trust in God as we look at the real life stories of these Heroes.

We are still in the planning stage for our camp program this summer. If you are able to help with camp this year please contact us. We need counselors, kitchen help, game and activity workers, Bible teachers and speakers, etc.

We were able to use our cabin during Camp Weeks this year! The inside is still unfinished, and we’re still in need of some furniture and other items to finish it out – let us know if you can help!

2016 Camp Rise and Shine – The Ark Adventure!

Our camp this year will take us on a road trip to Kentucky similar to the one we took in 2013. Our trip includes: a stop at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park for swimming, the Answers In Genesis Creation Museum and their brand new Ark Encounter. Between times we will learn exciting truths from God’s Word the Bible, participate in fun activities, have recreation, and of course eat plenty of good food! We will be staying the first and last night at Camp Rise And Shine and the days in between at The Captain’s Quarters in Petersburg, KY. We are limited to 20 people each week so it will be first come, first serve. Reserve your place as soon as possible.

• July 17-22 (Sunday–Friday) – Girls aged 8-16
• July 25-30 (Monday–Saturday) – Boys aged 8-16
